The exterior of a laptop is typically comprised of multiple plastic parts. This includes the plastic parts that are responsible for covering the memory, wireless card, and hard drive, as well as the casing that surrounds the touchpad and keyboard.
To remove and replace the plastics, follow these steps:
Step 1. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery.
Step 2. Adjust the positioning of the laptop so that the desired plastic component is facing upward.
Step 3. Unscrew the desired plastic component, or pry it off gently using the technique suggested by the manufacturer.
Step 4. Attach the plastic component and replace all necessary screws, or insert and fasten the component.
Step 5. Insert the battery and connect the AC adapter.
